ST Bathans Central Otago Pinot Noir

  • Ringed by mountains and interlaced with lakes and deep river gorges, The Abbey pays hommage to our town's Scottish namesake and it founders who came to mine for gold and plant orchards and vines.
  • With aromas of red cherries, star anise and subtle char, this fruit-ripe red berry and cherry palate, finishes with milk chocolate and nutmeg into a savoury, but soft finish, with long, supple tannins.

Tasting Note

St Bathans is a beautiful little gold mining town in Central Otago, lying just over the Pisa Range from Bannockburn and the rest of 'Central'.

What makes this part of NZ special is all about that perfect combination of sun and dirt, with St Bathans one of the driest places.
